The elastic closure keeps this notebook securely shut in my bag, and the gilded edges give it a nice polished feel that makes journaling feel a bit more special.

The 80 gsm paper handles fountain pen ink beautifully with no bleed-through, which was my main concern. I also love how the gilded edges give it a premium feel without being too fancy for everyday note-taking.

I was a little worried the elastic closure would be flimsy, but it's actually really sturdy and keeps the journal shut tight in my bag. The 80 gsm paper handles my fountain pen surprisingly well with hardly any bleed-through, and the 160 pages give me plenty of room for daily notes.
